According to Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on Consumer Protection, in case of a dispute between a lawyer and a client, the client, who is a consumer, is entitled to submit a proposal for out-of-court dispute resolution to the Czech Bar Association, no later than one year from the date on which the consumer first exercised their right in dispute with the lawyer.

The right of the parties to a dispute to seek judicial protection of their rights and legitimate interests is not affected by the initiation of out-of-court consumer dispute resolution.
